Virtual Stellar Intern

A rapid-clinical-overview app

Project Overview

VSI (Virtual Stellar Intern) is a rapid-clinical-overview prototype designed to help doctors, nurses, and specialists access patient history, vitals, schedules, and known conditions in seconds. Built within Elevance’s ecosystem, VSI addressed the pressing need for modern, in-meeting decision-making tools by consolidating critical data into a streamlined, adaptable interface.

Through research sessions with clinicians and heuristic reviews of existing systems, I identified clear gaps in usability, speed, and relevance of information delivery. VSI responded with an overview screen for immediate context, collapsible modules for deeper exploration, and an agenda flow for creating next steps such as scheduling or prescribing.

The prototype demonstrated that a modernized solution could be integrated into Elevance’s infrastructure, validating feasibility with stakeholders and resonating strongly with clinicians during testing. Their feedback highlighted both enthusiasm for the improved workflows and a willingness to adopt the tool if developed further. VSI ultimately served as proof of concept, advancing the conversation toward an MVP while providing valuable insights into feature prioritization and ecosystem integration.
